Sam Pierre-Louis is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Amicus Therapeutics, a global mission-focused rare disease biotech company delivering therapies for pompe and fabry disease. Sam joined Amicus in September 2021 and leads their technology transformation, enterprise application services, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, computing and telecommunications infrastructure, service desk, end-user device management, IT project management, digital technology governance and related services.

Prior to Amicus, he had a similar set of responsibilities as Vice President of Information Technology with FirstEnergy Corporation. Prior to FirstEnergy, Sam served as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer for Providence St. Joseph Health where he led the development and execution of the organization’s enterprise cybersecurity, physical security, workplace violence prevention, and business continuity management services. Sam served in the same role at St. Joseph Health prior to the merger with Providence Health Services. Sam has held many information technology leadership, consulting and engineering roles at organizations including MD Anderson Cancer Center, UAB Health Systems, Internet Security Systems, and Siemens Energy & Automation.

Sam earned a PhD in Systems & Engineering Management from Texas Tech University, an MBA in Information Systems and Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
