Supervisory Special Agent Jeff Collins currently oversees the FBI Salt Lake City Cyber Task Force. Prior to transferring to Salt Lake City, he was assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, where he coordinated investigations with the Government of Japan. He was the primary investigator of the Mariposa botnet, which involved malicious software estimated to have infected 12 million computers and caused approximately a billion dollars in damage. He is the recipient of the Hawaii Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, Microsoft Global Hero, and FBI Director’s awards.
