Don Welch is the CISO for Penn State. He has also previously served as the CISO for the University of Michigan. He has been a CEO for a network and IT services company, CIO, and CTO. He served 25 years in the U.S. Army, starting the Information Assurance program at West Point while a professor. He has a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Maryland and earned the Army Ranger Tab and Airborne Wings.
