Remote Conference – A Window Into The CIO Initiative Summit

Normally our conferences are on-site at a beautiful location, bringing together some of the brightest minds in technology leadership. This year is no different as we prepare to set off to Savannah, GA to conduct our 4th CIO Initiative Summit.

However, due to all of the challenges in 2020, we have decided to open up a portion of our program to be conducted remotely. This gives many more people the opportunity to participate who would otherwise be unable to travel to Savannah to join us. We are calling it “A Window into The CIO Initiative Summit”

From 1:00pm to 3:00pm EST we will be hosting 2 amazing panels which will be live streamed. Attendees will be able to participate in a Q&A and get a small sampling of what it is like to be at one of our CIO Initiative Summits, albeit without the food, great hospitality, comradery of your peers, and the other benefits of being on location.

Mark Settle, Author and 7X CIO, will be leading a conversation on “Tackling Diversity and Inclusion Issues in IT”.  Mark is joined by

Julie Elberfeld – CEO, Belong Strategies

Rashida Hodge – VP, North America Go-to-Market, IBM

Deanna Steele – CIO, J. Jill

Our second panel conversation will be led by Phil Fasano, CEO Gigster covering the topic of “CIO Leadership Through Crisis”.  Phil is joined by:

Ann Madea, EVP/CIO – Former HSBC

Walter Yosafat – Founder and Principal, WAYITForward, LLC

I hope you will be able to join us.  Just  CLICK HERE TO REGISTER so you can watch and participate in “A Window into The CIO Initiative Summit” program.

Savannah Summit – New Dates

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the restrictions on travel, The CIO Initiative Summit, originally scheduled for June 2020, has been postponed to November 4th and 5th, 2020. The summit will still be held at the Perry Lane Hotel in beautiful Savannah, GA.

We are looking forward to another great summit and are thankful that most of our planed speakers are able to participate in November. We are still looking for a few additional participants and speakers. If you are interested in attending or speaking at the summit, please send an email to

The CIO Initiative Summit – Savannah 2020 Update

We are looking forward to the Savannah 2020 Summit this year and are very happy with the number of C-level technology executives who have already committed to attend the event as well as the experience that they bring. We are continuing to look for a few speakers to fill some final spots and are in the late stages of setting the agenda for the program. We are certain that attendees of this year’s summit will find the sessions informative and enlightening.

We know there are some concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and how it may affect our Savannah Summit on June 10th and 11th.  We are closely monitoring the rapidly changing situation and how it may impact this upcoming conference. However, as our event is still three months away, we are moving forward with the Savannah Summit as planned.  Our hope is that in the next three months, COVID-19 will be under control not just for our event, but for the country as a whole.

Announcing the 2020 CIO Initiative Summit

The CIO Initiative Summit - Savannah 2020

The CIO Initiative is thrilled to announce that the 4th Annual CIO Initiative Summit will be held June 10-11, 2020 at the prestigious Perry Lane Hotel in Savannah, Georgia.

The CIO Summit brings together CIO thought leaders from top corporations for a day and a half of best practice sharing, networking, and collaboration.  This exclusive, invitation only event provides an intimate setting for technology executives to come together to collaborate on innovative and effective strategies to rise and stay ahead of the technology leadership curve. The Summit can be best described as round-table meets conference. There is no vendor participation in the program and no vendor showcase. The agenda is highly interactive and developed with the participating CIOs for the CIOs.  Summit attendees range from tenured CxO’s with experience from the largest corporations to those who are early in their CIO journey.

If you are interested in attending (or would like to recommend your CIO/CTO for consideration), please email Erin Bailey, Executive Director, at
